It's a fun decision to focus on cones for the field trip project. The cone in the first image seems to get lost...maybe turn that one on it's side to make it more visable to the viewer? The texture in that first one is beautiful though.
In the last one the cone gets lost as well...would it be possible to select just the cone and saturate it with color more?
The vignette you put on your images really strengthen them.
